AU / NZ Status & Warranty
Warranty & Repair Claims & Red Magic 7 Models Status in Australia / New Zealand
For warranty and non warranty claims, products should be returned directly to the place of purchase. Your original place of purchase will be able to assist you as they have access to the support processes that have been setup with our authorised Australian channels.
In accordance with applicable law, ZTE Australia will require you to furnish proof of purchase details, like contact details, device IMEI number and place of purchase for validation to confirm that the device in question is in fact an Australian released model, before receiving warranty service.
The Red Magic 7 family of devices are not tested, released or approved by ZTE (Australia) Pty Ltd and if sold locally or purchased for use in Australia or New Zealand they are considered a Grey or Parallel import.
Grey or Parallel Imported ZTE devices from other countries that are typically sold by online resellers on eBay, Kogan, Dicksmith and other websites outside of Australia, are not covered by local warranty as they are not tested, compliant or approved for use in Australia if they have not been through the ZTE Australia standard processes for release through our authorised channel partners.
You can check if a ZTE device has been released officially in Australia by contacting either our channel partners or finding it listed on this website with details of Where to Buy. If you have purchased a ZTE device that is a grey / parallel import, ZTE Australia has no responsibility to provide any product/technical support or repair/spare part facilities in Australia. The warranty under the ACL consumer guarantee provisions is with the reseller only and not with ZTE Australia. This continues to be the case even after an Australian variant of the device is released as there may be more than Software differences.
